Impossible Mission or Great Commission?

Ever been given an impossible task? A homework assignment so big you knew you would never be able to finish it? If so, you’ll probably understand how Jesus’ disciples felt as they stood with Him on a mountain top in Galilee just before he ascended to heaven. He was giving them homework to complete while He was away, and believe it or not, this assignment is for YOU too!

“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and one earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.'” Matthew 28:18-20

Turn the whole world into disciples of Jesus? That sounds  impossible! But hidden inside this great commission is… well, a co-mission. It’s not just you and it’s not just me. It is us working in cooperation with Jesus.

Are you up for the challenge? Read the verses again and this time, look for the four “all’s” hidden inside the mission. Those four “all’s” hold the secret to success in this all-important assignment. When you find one, post it in a comment below and let’s answer the question:
