When?

It seems that the time we are living it right now is so unsure. People are sick, the environment is sick, the government is unstable, people are out of work and time seems to be blending into itself. So what do you do when things like this happen? Jesus told us that at the end of time there would be wars and rumors of wars, there would be sickness and strife. We need to be ready at all times because “the day of the lord will come like a thief in the night”

So when is Jesus coming back? “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.  For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.” Matthew 24: 36-39

It can seem unsettling to think about the fact that no one, not even Jesus knows the exact time of the end. However, we do not have to be afraid of the unknown. No matter what happens we can have peace knowing that God has everything in control. “Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid.”  John 14:27
